Restaurant

Suka in London restaurant offers modern authentic Malaysian cuisine prepared with European sensibility. Created by acclaimed New York chef Zak Pelaccio, Suka's menu of fresh British and Malaysian produce marries French cooking techniques with the intensity and spectrum of Southeast Asian flavours. Set on the ground floor of Sanderson, Suka's dramatic setting has been redesigned by the renowned Paris-based architect and designer India Mahdavi and encompasses the 'hidden' space following the Long Bar as well as the entire Garden Terrace. Suka has a relaxed and casual ethos, while still capturing the wit, irony and elegance of Sanderson. The menu is served in typical Asian sharing style and includes dishes ranging from home-style to truly elegant and luxe. At some 80-feet in length, Sanderson's dramatic, glowing onyx Long Bar is the focal point for energy at Sanderson. The beauty of Long Bar in London is that anyone can visit at any time, which proves to be rare for such a glamorous and well-known hotel bar. Long Bar is light, white and airy and radiates freshness and cleanliness. Classic and innovative cocktails fill the seasonally changing menu, with guests also being able to enjoy the ultimate burger with a selection of varying garnishes, charcuterie and mezze sharing plates. Either sit around the bar people-watching or relax in the sanctuary of the Courtyard. The Purple Bar, with its veritable symphony of purples, lavenders and violets, is a chic and intimate lounge that has become one of London’s hottest gathering places. Draped in violet silk opera curtains, and furnished with lavender Queen Anne chairs, purple etched Venetian mirrors, and a bar that looks like an enormous meteorite just fallen from the sky, the wildly theatrical Purple Bar feels straight from the pages of “Alice in Wonderland” – a quality that makes it the perfect setting for drinks, conversation and people-watching.Purple Bar offers 10oz Martinis as well as a selection of 3oz classic Martinis, all of which are based on the original Martini 'The Martinez' dating back The Purple Bar, with its veritable symphony of purples, lavenders and violets, is a chic and intimate lounge that has become one of London’s hottest gathering places. Location

The Sanderson, A Morgans Hotel is a lavishly designed urban retreat located in the heart of London's West End, just minutes away from museums, Leicester Square, Covent Garden, and the business and fashion districts. This hotel, located in a 1950's landmarked building, offers a host of luxurious features and services. There are two glamourous bars to choose from, a restaurant and an open-air courtyard garden to dine, drink or simply relax in. For those looking to be pampered, the hotel houses an Agua Bathhouse, a wellness center offering a range of rejuvenating treatments. A lavish "Urban Spa" in the heart of London’s West End, Sanderson offers a retreat from the bustle of the city into a world of fantasy and wellbeing. The landmarked 50s building has been transformed by Philippe Starck into a surreal Cocteau-like dream world, epitomizing a “new luxury” that is smart, pared down, and tempered with a healthy dose of wit and irony. With the absence of “normal” walls and a floor-to-ceiling glass facade that diffuses natural light through flowing layers of ethereal sheer curtains, Sanderson’s indoor/outdoor lobby is a layered and sophisticated environment that is totally original. Surrounding an extraordinary landmark Courtyard Garden designed by Philip Hicks, Starck’s visionary style mixes baroque and modern, juxtaposing Salvador Dali’s curvaceous red lips sofa with classic 60s mosaics and hand-carved African furniture with an oversized Louis XV armoire. The result blends wit, magic and surprise in an elegant balancing act of extravagance and pure simplicity.
